Leading the Fight for Digital Rights in Nigeria and Beyond

At the Digital Rights Lawyers Initiative (DRLI) , we are driven by a singular conviction that every Nigerian is entitled to the full protection of their digital rights. From the right to privacy and data protection to freedom of expression online and protection against unlawful surveillance, we believe that the digital sphere must be a space of liberty, not oppression.

Our team is composed of experienced legal practitioners, policy advocates, and technology law experts who have dedicated their careers to defending the digital rights of citizens. We are proud to be led by seasoned digital rights lawyers who have litigated digital rights matters across every cadre of courts in Nigeria — from the lowest magistrates’ courts to the Supreme Court of Nigeria — and have also taken the fight for digital justice to the regional stage at the ECOWAS Community Court of Justice.
